Cody and I have a long running debate, and I must know what you people think...
Here goes...
Do you consider a sandal to be a shoe?
Some people think that a shoe must cover your entire foot, while others view it more as a general term. Tell me then, what do YOU think?

A shoe is anything that protects your foot from the environment and the elements to a certain degree. You're allowed to wear sandals into places of businesses that post "No shirt, no shoes, no service" therefor a sandal is a shoe.
I agree that a shoe is anything that covers your feet. Not to say that if you take off your shirt and put it on your foot it is a shoe, but objects that are sold to cover your feet are shoes...
SANDALS ARE SHOES CODY!!!!!
Ummm... good question. I think sometimes the word is used too lightly, "Oh dang, I don't have any shoes on", when simply referring to the article of clothing worn on the feet.
However, when it comes down to it, I do NOT think sandals are shoes. When I think of shoes, I think of, say Vans...
But, that does NOT mean that I have not referred to my sandals as shoes.
Confused yet?
A sandal is a type of shoe....
Yeah I agree with jenjen.
